Scottish Streetwear Brands to Look Out For

After months of asking around and meeting dope designers, us at ZAZA have acquired eight cold streetwear fashion brands to put you onto. All Scotland-based brands created and managed by our youth. This one is going to have to come in two parts though, gas like this should be consumed in moderation. Gas poisoning is a thing, and ZAZA cares about your health. So for now, here are two Scottish fashion brands to keep an eye out for.

Now, the streets have heard of this one. If you haven’t, let ZAZA introduce you!

A brand from the streets, 4 the streets. Benzo, unhappy with the Black fashion scene in Scotland, founded PRAY4THEM in May 2020. He explains: “I felt like Glasgow had the ability to be a Fashion x Culture city just like Manchester or London, and our plan was to make this a reality.” “We want to put Scotland on the map and tell a story”. The clothes are designed with comfort in mind and were influenced by the fashion in UK-created music videos. When asked about brand identity, Benzo shares: “The identity is found in the clothes themselves. We want its wearers to feel cool and have a certain swag to them when wearing our garments”.

The luxury streetwear brand is selling printed balaclavas, jeans and t-shirts, and hopes to integrate items such as; jackets, tracksuits, gilets, gloves, socks, hats – a lot of them! Visit www.prayfourthem.com for their fall collection and beloved balaclavas.

Benzo also mentions a new collection expected to drop around February, “WINTER WARZ” as well as working towards the release of a comic, “OUTLAWZ”. They are calling out to graphic designers and artists for this opportunity if any of you creative geniuses are interested, hit them up!

STARBOY @starboy.strb

Co-owned by four youngins, Kevin, Allan, Samuel and Exaucé, the group individually all shared a passion for streetwear and specialised in all different aspects of brand management. They dream team for real!

From the beginning of 2022, they saw an opportunity for an authentic streetwear brand which aligns for people who fit outside the norms and took it, hence the creation of STARBOY They tell Z: “We were seeing all these streetwear fashion brands copy and pasting each other, (and) we wanted to do it our way”. This lead to them putting their ideas together and expressing themselves as a team. STARBOY represents standing out and not following the crowd– they are working towards cultivating a community of just that!
